Get Expressive

If the character you cos has a simple or bland outfit, you can try being very expressive with your movements. Exaggerate your movements and expressions.

Rehearse in front of your mirror in your costumes if possible. Pick and remember those expressions that you feel right. Go for physical comedy if it suits your character.

Characters with simple costume can be memorable and photogenic if you know how to pose.

Know How to Pose

Suggest to have at least two, preferably three different poses, and change your angle so we can see the hard work you put into your gorgeous costume. Try some poses in front of a mirror in your costumes. Pick and remember the poses you feel best.

Hold it

On the topic of poses, when you pose one, please hold it for at least three to five seconds. Some poses are great, but if you only stay like that for less than a second, it’s very easy for photographers to miss getting that shot.
